I rarely give up on a drawing but sometimes one just has to realise that things are not going the way they are meant to, and be able to put them aside. Which is what I did for the drawing before this one (sorry Lara!) which I shall have to return to some other day.
There are also certain things one falls in love with, like the photo I took of this cat sitting in the window in a little alleyway of my village ... just had to draw it and though it's not quite finished I liked it just the way it was. I love the fact that none of the lines were straight or perfect ... which was, to me, quite perfect. I like imperfections -- and I liked it 'unfinished'. There are times when things are best left the way they are. What's difficult is knowing when to let go ... I think I stopped at the right moment, don't you?
