Couldn't believe my eyes when I went to the supermarket here in France and saw pineapples in the vegetable aisle! I had to buy one, despite the fact that they cost far more than the earth they were grown in, especially when I know how inexpensive they are back in Malaysia ... but oh my, the playing patterns and the colours and the texture ... how beautiful. You do see why I had to buy one and take photographs for creative inspiration and reference, don't you?
I may even have allowed myself to get a bit carried away with the snapping of images ...
As you can see, I kept getting closer and closer with the camera, full of admiration for the sheer gorgeousness of this sweet, sharp fruit. It's quite amazing. If anyone out there uses this as reference for art, illustrations or pattern creation (and you are more than welcome to use it for creative reference!) please please do show me the final results, I'd love to see different interpretations of the pineapple. I shall definitely be attempting something from these shots myself, and will share once I'm done.
Now comes the real problem. How on earth do I chop it up? I've always been served the post-sliced bits on a plate, all clean and ready to gobble down ... any advice?
Have a sweet day! Cheers.
