I've always believed that our lives are driven by the choices we make. We choose whom to love, what to learn, whether to be happy ... even whether to get up in the mornings and face our daily challenges, however hard they may seem at times. How we view the world is entirely up to us.
In my case, 2013 was a year that started out full of seemingly unsurmountable trials, but I chose to turn them into positive challenges instead, and I haven't looked back since. I could easily have given in to depression, but I was far too stubborn, and love my art and creative life far too much, to give up on it that easily. So instead I opted to take a deep breath and tell myself that I was capable of doing everything that needed to be done. And I did. I was then joined by an amazing friend whose now-constant advice has helped to turn things around and build strong foundations for the business, and I took a whole load of fantastic e-courses (and will be takiing more this year) that re-fueled my passion for what I do, and love doing.
We now have exciting and wonderful plans lined up for this year - and life truly is full of infinite possibilities. Which is what led me to draw the following affirmation:
from this rough little sketch:
I never really used to put much store in positive, motivational statements (what can I say, I'm a bit of a cynic when it suits me), but this past year I discovered that they truly do help. So I'm passing the good energy on, and will be posting one "I choose ..." text design on the first Tuesday of every month, till the end of the year. If they manage to bring at least a smile and a little clarity in just one person's life, I shall be quite unbearably pleased with myself.
Wishing you a life full of infinite possibilities! Cheers.
