I'm still doodling those prospective colouring-book-pages in the evenings, but I haven't blogged them for a while so here are a few of the more recent ones that have occupied me therapeutically, seeing me through the insanity of the past couple of months. These odd and quirky scenes are pouring out from nowhere it seems, but as always I'm thoroughly enjoying the whole process and feel no need to ask why my mind seems to be populated by odd florals and botanicals, mice and birds. Hopefully, it's a sign that my sense of humour or amusement has at least survived and is keeping me quite content despite all the recent hiccups ...
Below is one of my older drawings, originally sketched out for the Spoonflower Daily Drawing challenge a couple of years back. If you'd like to see the (coloured) original, click HERE. I scanned it and traced out the lines in photoshop, then printed it out lightly and redrew the whole thing, adding a few more elements while at it. It's good to go back, have a look, and clean things up every once in a while:
